Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of TextTrace. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms and Apple’s applicable Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
The service
TextTrace creates source-linked records from WhatsApp TXT/ZIP exports and visible text in media you select. WhatsApp transcript text is parsed directly from the selected export. For visual media, Apple Vision may provide a local preview and Google Vision may provide a final OCR result. Parsing and OCR can contain omissions or errors. You are responsible for reviewing results against the retained source before relying on or sharing them.
No legal certification
TextTrace is an organization and export tool, not a law firm, not a notary, and not a forensic certification service. A hash, manifest, OCR result, or export does not by itself make a record authentic, admissible, complete, or legally sufficient. Obtain qualified advice for legal, regulatory, or evidentiary use.
Your content and acceptable use
You retain your rights in content you select. You grant TextTrace and its processors only the limited permission needed to provide, secure, and support the service. You must have the right to process and share that content. Do not use the service to violate privacy, intellectual-property, export-control, or other laws; to upload malware; or to abuse or disrupt the service.
Subscriptions
Available plans and current prices are shown in the App Store purchase sheet. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Billing, refunds, trials, taxes, and renewal are governed by Apple’s terms and applicable law.
Availability and changes
We may improve, limit, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, reliability, legal compliance, or provider availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or perfect OCR accuracy. Important content should be independently backed up.
Disclaimer and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TextTrace is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties. TextTrace is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Termination and contact
You may stop using TextTrace at any time. We may restrict access for material misuse or legal necessity. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination. Questions can be sent to ataerdal.dev@gmail.com.
